What is UTOPIER?

Where is UTOPIER’s operation?

UTOPIER originates from Hong Kong with operations in the USA. We are preparing to set up R&D in Malaysia and Mexico.

Can I use Trademark items such as the company logo or images?

The Tercio Group does not authorize the use of its trademarks, logos, company names, or images by other parties in marketing, promotional, or advertising materials. Prior written permission is required.

How can I submit a sustainability idea, collaborative proposal, or carbon removal project?

The Technology

What is the uniqueness of AIPA?

AIPA has a unique feature of extracting water from thin air along with rainwater harvesting. It will create a microenvironment for plants to keep them healthy and grow. Ours is specifically designed for growing trees and plants in desert climate areas and degraded lands with minimal maintenance through the ‘solar-still’ design. Learn more.

How does AIPA works differently from other grow boxes?

The planter box works on the principle of hygroscopic moisture absorption from thin air and converting this absorbed moisture to water by evaporation and condensation mechanism, mimicking the natural rain cycle. Moreover, specially designed water channels will allow water droplets and rainwater to be collected in the reservoir. The capillary connected with the water reservoir will provide the minimum required water directly to plant roots, avoiding 80-90% water loss compared to general irrigation. To summarize, AIPA assist plants in capturing moisture, soaking up water, storing it, and preparing to use it during drought or periodic irrigation.

Is the technology patented?

Patent has already been filed in both Malaysia and the USA. This is a patent-pending technology developed by Dr. Shakeel, and our co-founder, Ms. Cannis. A few more green ideas are under discussion and waiting to be patented.

Where should I use AIPA?

Our planter box suits most places but is specifically designed for use in dry and semi-arid lands. The large opening of the planter allows large trees to be grown easily. Learn more.

How often to water or fertilize the tree?

In terms of water, virtually the planter box does not need any water. However, during the planter installation, 2 to 5 liters of water should be added to the water tank. This is because the absorption of moisture and its conversion to water will take a minimum of 24 to 36 hours. Fertilizer depends upon soil conditions, and we have another project named the GRAZE biofertilizer.

What are the three main objectives of SDGs?

The objectives are to end poverty and inequality, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy health, justice, and prosperity. It sets out 17 Goals, which include 169 targets. We focus on Goals 12, 13, 15, and 17.

Is growing trees a sustainable practice?

Yes. Trees are natural carbon capture and storage machines by removing carbon dioxide from the air and then lock up for a long time in the woods and soil. They help to stop climate changes. Besides, landowners and farmers can apply carbon credits once they meet the requirements needed to participate in carbon-offsetting reforestation programs. Tree Planting is a truly global benefit.

A circular economy keeps materials, products, and services in circulation for as long as possible to slow climate change.
